Oscar has been in our 250 kennels for a little while now and we would like to find him a loving home. He is a young dog and one of the happiest dogs you could ever meet, his tail rarely stops wagging. He has been taken on a couple of our monthly walks where he has shown himself to be the class clown. He is pleased to see everyone and wants to visit and smell everything. This doesn't always coincide with where you want to be though. He travels well and appears to get on with doggy friends. He does pull on the lead at the moment but this is getting better and he just needs further training to eradicate this trait
We think Oscar would suit a family who have experience of larger breeds, who perhaps have another Greyhound or other breed of dog who will help show Oscar the ropes. If homed as an only dog in the household we feel that it would be best if someone was at home most of the time to keep him company. Equally he would suit a family who have previous experience of dogs and are willing to give him the training and leadership he requires. We do not believe he would be suitable for a family with small children because of his present bouncy nature but would love to play with older children/teenagers.
Oscar has so much to give his potential adopters, he puts a smile on everyones face he meets, and all the volunteers who have worked with Oscar have a soft spot for him.
